Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena has taken cognizance of the report of sudden increase in the number of illegal immigrants in Delhi. LG Saxena's secretariat has written a letter to the Chief Secretary, Police Commissioner, MCD Commissioner and NDMC Chairman to immediately ensure measures to stop this. A letter has been issued by the Principal Secretary stating that LG Saxena's attention has been drawn to the reports on social media and other reliable sources. In which there has been talk of a sudden increase in the number of illegal immigrants in the capital Delhi. Such people are encroaching on roads, footpaths and parks. There is also news that preparations are going on to make Aadhar Card and Voter ID Card from the fake documents of these people. It has been claimed in the letter that illegal immigrants are calling such documents as citizenship documents. No Indian citizen can accept giving identity cards to illegal immigrants.
